DauntlessOBD Supported Protocol IDs

Protocol IDs for use with “ATSP” / “ATTP” / “STP” commands. For compatibility, DauntlessOBD uses the same protocol IDs as the ELM327 and STN chips, where applicable. It also adds its own in the >= 0x80 range.

Some CAN protocols here are tailored for use with a DauntlessOBD+ that has the capability of connecting to alternate pins in the OBD connector (eg Ford MS-CAN on Pins 3/11, GM SW-CAN on Pin 1). When one of these protocols is attempted on a device that does not have the capability to support those pins, the listed rate will instead be applied to the default CAN pins (6/14).

“Mixed 11/29-bit” protocol selections are meant for CAN busses that contain traffic of both types, and enables their use without the delay or inconvenience of having to switch protocol IDs back and forth between 11 and 29 bit. By default, 11-bit mode will be used for transmitting and when setting receive filters, unless the set frame ID (aka the “header” in ELM327 terminology) is greater than 0x7FF.
