Dauntless Devices Standard Limited Warranty

Except as provided by this warranty, or an alternate warranty that we may provide with a product, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, any products or services are provided as-is with no warranty or guarantee of any kind.

Purchase or use of a Dauntless Devices LLC product constitutes your agreement to the terms of this document.

What Does This Warranty Cover?

This is a non-transferable limited warranty from Dauntless Devices LLC that covers defects in the materials or workmanship of your Dauntless Devices branded product.

Warranty coverage only applies to the original purchaser of a genuine Dauntless Devices branded product that was purchased directly from us (Dauntless Devices LLC) or one of our authorized resellers.

How Long Does The Coverage Last?

This limited warranty has a term of 1 year from the date of the original product shipment from us or our authorized reseller. If physical shipping is not applicable, then the date used for the purpose of this warranty term shall be the date of original purchase. Any repairs or replacements do not extend the warranty term. Coverage terminates if you sell, dispose of, or otherwise transfer the product.

What Does This Not Cover?

To the maximum extent permissible by law, this warranty does not cover, nor shall Dauntless Devices LLC or its affiliates or authorized resellers, be liable for the following:

  • Items that were sold “as-is”, not a genuine Dauntless Devices branded product, and/or advertised as being excluded from this warranty.
  • Items sold as incomplete products, components, kits, “DIY”, and/or intended to be integrated into other circuitry or products.
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Batteries.
  • Errors, faults, or other problems that are disclosed in the product documentation or at the time of sale.
  • Apps, software, online functionality, or other intangible products and/or services.
  • Products or services from entities other than Dauntless Devices LLC, any interoperability or compatibility with such, and any damages or undesirable outcomes to, and/or relating to, them.
  • Equipment, machinery, vehicles, mobile devices, computers, and any other items that this product may be connected to or interact with.
  • Operation, errors, variances, and/or measurements that are within tolerances that are documented, reasonable, or common among similar products.
  • Minor faults / “bugs” that are not specific to the individual unit and/or do not interfere with its primary functionality.
  • Any damages or harm arising from misuse (intentional or unintentional), improper installation, modification, tampering, disassembly, rough handling, exposure to moisture or liquids, extreme temperatures, fire, accidents, drops, external electrical faults or power surges, or any damage caused to the product by you or from an external cause.
  • Items that were installed, connected, stored, handled, or operated in a manner contrary to reasonable practices and care, or the product’s documentation.
  • Items that were refunded, returned, or disposed of.
  • Incidental or consequential damages.
  • Interruption of use of this or any other product or service, interruption of business, loss of profits, etc.
  • Use or misuse that’s in violation of any law or contract.
  • Any liability beyond the repair or replacement of the Dauntless Devices LLC branded product.

To the maximum extent permissible by law, in no event shall Dauntless Devices LLC or its authorized resellers be liable for more than the purchase price of this or a comparable product / item.

How Do You Get Service? / What Will Dauntless Devices LLC Do?

After you contact us via our website Contact Form to describe the problem and request warranty service, we may attempt to remedy the problem remotely, via either technical support advice, or product firmware and/or software updates. If that is not successful, or we deem that to be unnecessary, we will then provide further instruction for proceeding with warranty service.

You must provide your full name, order number and date of purchase, a working e-mail address, detailed description of the problem, and your shipping address.

When seeking warranty service, we may require that the product to be returned to us or a designated service provider, for inspection, repair, refurbishing, and/or other purposes.

You must pay for any shipping and/or handling charges. Any data contained within, or associated to, the product, may be lost. All warranty service must be authorized and performed by Dauntless Devices LLC or an authorized service provider designated by us. We will not reimburse any third party claims or providers.

Upon accepting a warranty claim, we will, at our sole discretion, choose between either repairing the defect in materials and workmanship, or replacing the product with a new or refurbished Dauntless Devices LLC product of the same model. In the event that an equivalent replacement is not available, we reserve the right to make product substitutions or to purchase the product back from you at the original sale price.
